Congratulations Ray and Pamela!

March 2008
 Greetings!

We have several new announcements for this month!

* We are very proud to announce the addition of 2 beautiful baby boys to our Loving Touch family.  The twins were born on February 26th to their very proud father, one of our technicians, Ray McKrow.  We do not think they are identical, but look a lot alike.  The babies are still anxiously awaiting names due to their early arrival at 30 weeks.  The first baby was born at 11:59 am and weighed 3lb 3oz and his brother, who arrived at 12:18 pm, weighed 3lb 6oz.  The 2 boys, who spent the first week in the NICU, recently got upgraded to the Intermediate Care/ Critical Care and should be out of the hospital in a few weeks.  Good energy to both of them and to mom and dad. * Loving Touch we will begin carrying the Nature's Variety brand dog food.  With the many changes in the pet food industry we are no longer able to stock the Precise Pet food.  Therefore, once we started looking at the foods that we recommend it was unanimous to carry the Nature's Variety line of pet food.

 * We would like to also introduce Dr. Kevin Brantly.  Dr. Brantly will be taking Dr. Hyatt's place as our new surgeon.  He is currently working at Pets are People, Too as their emergency physician.  Dr.  Brantly will be starting with us on April 9, 2009.

Come see us at the AKC Agility Trial

Caring Canine Rehabilitation Center will have a booth at the upcoming AKC agility trials to be held March 21-23, 2008 at Wills Park located at 11915 Wills Rd in  Alpharetta, Georgia.  The agility trials are being hosted by the Canine Capers Dog Club located in Duluth, Ga.  Caring Canine staff will be on hand to perform evaluations and offer treatments to participating dogs.    "Agility is a performance sport requiring more than a mere willingness on behalf of the canine partner- the dog must be trained and conditioned as an athlete.  And like human athletes, canine athletes suffer from their share of injuries related to repetitive training and competition," said Elizabeth Barrett RVT, CCRP, manager of Caring Canine and agility competitor.

If you would like to learn about participating in agility with your dog, or would like more information about the trial, go to Canine Caper's website at www.CanineCapersAgility.com

April is Microchip month!

During the month of April receive a 15% discount on microchipping your pet! Loving Touch uses the state of the art resQ microchip from Bayer. Why Switch from HomeAgain of Avid microchips? HomeAgain and Avid both use proprietary technology that may or may not be compatible with different models or brands of microchip scanners. resQ is designed to be compatible with any scanner so you have a better chance of recovering your friend if he/she ever becomes lost! Also resQ is the ONLY microchip partnered with the United States Postal Service, that means once your pet is microchipped with a resQ chip and registered on the PetLink information system, if you ever move and fill out a change of address form, your pet's information is automatically updated for a safe and speedy recovery! The PetLink information system is the only microchip system with NO annual fees, lifetime registration is FREE!

For more information on the microchips visit www.petlink.net.
